This is your chance to explore groundbreaking ideas, undergo a transformative customer discovery journey, and potentially secure funding to bring your vision to life.
What’s in It for You?
The Ocean Idea Challenge offers up to $7,000 in funding, disbursed as you reach key milestones in developing your solution. This is not just about the prize money; it’s about embarking on a journey to deeply understand the challenges within the ocean ecosystem and iterating solutions that can make a real difference. At the end of this customer discovery journey, high-performing teams from this Idea Challenge will be fast-tracked into our Ocean Startup Challenge, an incredible opportunity to further develop your idea and unlock even more opportunity for growth. This next stage offers additional resources, including advanced training, mentorship, access to our Executives-in-Residence, and the chance to receive up to $25,000 in additional funds, along with other significant perks to escalate your project.
Who Should Apply to the Ocean Idea Challenge?
All applicants must be at least 18 years old and located in Canada, ideally with solutions at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 3 or lower, although all applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
